Tokyo-The Wombats
Probably the most British cut this year to make my personal
list and a wonderful little throwback to a time when a larger than life chorus
and some interesting wordplay where all you needed to make an awesome tune.
This song is just the simplest pleasures I had this year
with a kind of trippy electro heavy sound that’s filled with enough girth to
keep things from becoming a headache it’s too bad this is the only tune I heard
from them that managed to step out enough for me to remember them for but still
an amazing cut none-the-less.
