So if you aren't aware I am a HUGE FAN of the Smashing Pumpkins and they have a host of projects coming up that I've very VERY loosely been following because let's be real I may be a fan but it's difficult to kind of keep up with everything Billy Corgan Promises and what not but on their Official Website last night they announced they'd premier the much fan anticipated Adore era recording of their song, "Let me Give The World To You," which is significant because it was produced by Rick Ruban originally for adore but ended up getting shelved for seemingly no reason and eventually getting a semi-release on Machina 2 in a much different arrangement that's more poppy and kind of has a 1979 meets untitled sound to it that's pretty damn great when you listen to it but a good bit different from the original sound.
So listening to them side by side the Adore version is actually a deeper feeling track that has some acoustic feel to it and a lot of drum fills that chug it along and kind of give it a feel that would have fit quite well on Adores track list. Really I'm glad to be reminded that this tunes a thing and hearing this long anticipated version is even better and only hopes that with my birthday coming up SOME loyal fan will be awesome enough to hook a buddy up...hint HINT NUDGE NUDGE!!!!
In all seriousness though one of a few bits of product I'm a going to have to really budget around coming up so enjoy this version and have a nice day people...
